A Quiet Florida Beach VacationFlorida Gulf Beaches
Looking for a peaceful and quiet Florida beach vacation? To me, the Florida Gulf Beaches west of St. Petersburg, offer the best laid back beaches and lifestyle here in Paradise. I love this stretch of barrier islands from Indian Rocks Beach on the northern end of Sand Key to Pass-A-Grille Beach at the far southern end of Long Key. The pace is easy, there is not much drama, the crowds of young people are drawn more to the party atmosphere of St.Pete Beach or Clearwater Beach, and there are plenty of cheap/reasonably priced rentals just a few streets off the Gulf. I love the mornings out here. They are extremely therapeutic. No crowds, no noise, lots of room to walk the shoreline, and plenty of space to doze off in your chair without hearing someone else's conversation.
A simple hammock makes for a peaceful morning Most of the time, though, I bring my own chair because I like to read in the solitude. Indian Rocks Beach has some of the most beautiful white sand on the Florida Gulf Coast. Madeira Beach has to be one of the most laid back beaches in Florida. Nothing like spending a morning in Paradise as the sun comes up. Treasure Island has the widest beach on the Florida Gulf Coast. It sets you a world away from the traffic on Gulf Blvd. It is three miles long and you can see something new each day during walks. The beautiful white sand and the "Old Florida" feel of Pass-A-Grille lends itself to a romantic Florida beach vacation. Please come visit us here in Paradise...the Florida Gulf beaches. Spend lazy days on our beautiful coastline just west of St Petersburg FL. Rentals are reasonable, the food is good, and you can join the locals at any number of little beach bars to cheer the setting of the sun each evening.
